Inspection of Children’s Centres

Stuart Gallimore, Chair of the ADCS Standards, Performance & Inspection Policy Committee, said:
“Children’s centres are key to ensuring vulnerable children get a better start in life and families can access support. But rising demand for services, and tightening council budgets have made it necessary to reshape the way these services are delivered. It makes sense to pause inspections pending the outcome of the DfE’s consultation and regardless of the shape or size of services local authorities have always had their own rigorous and robust measures in place to ensure that children and their families can continue to access these services safely.”
