Local Safeguarding Children’s Boards

Local Safeguarding Children Boards (LSCBs) were established under the Children Act (2004). LSCBs bring together all of the key agencies and bodies responsible for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, such as the local authority, police and schools. The purpose of this activity is to hold each other to account and to ensure safeguarding children remains high on everybody’s agenda.
