EU Settlement Scheme Home Office Guidance

EU Settlement Scheme - Home Office Guidance for Local Authorities & Health and Social Care Trusts

The following information has been made available on the ADCS website as it is not currently available on Gov.UK

The EU Settlement Scheme fully opened on 30 March 2019. EU, EEA and Swiss citizens and their family members can now apply to the scheme to continue living in the UK after 30 June 2021. The Home Office has developed specific guidance to support local authorities and Health and Social Care Trust staff when making or supporting applications for looked after children or supporting care leavers to apply to the Scheme. The guidance contains valuable information, including:

  • Information about the scheme
  • How to apply
  • Roles of local authorities & Health and Social Care Trusts
  • Evidence requirements
  • Flow diagram for looked after children and care leavers.

The guide also provides details of a paper form process and information on when the form can be used. To access the paper form, the local authority or Health and Social Care Trust must provide a designated email address. The Home Office must be notified of that email address in advance by emailing feedback-EUSSsupportmodel@homeoffice.gov.uk. The designated email address will be used to send a copy of each paper form. Please note that forms will only be issued to the designated mailbox.”
