General Youth Justice
Local authorities hold a number of important duties in the wider youth justice system. The majority of secure children’s homes are owned and operated by local authorities and their youth offending teams (YOTs) play an important role in reducing offending and reoffending rates.
ADCS routinely works with the DfE, MoJ, YJB and Cafcass to support this work.
