NRPF Immigration Bill Reforms Factsheets

The Immigration Bill, currently being considered by Parliament, contains measures to reform local authority support for certain groups of destitute families and care leavers. For children in care teams supporting UASCs and other separated migrant children, it is essential that practitioners are aware of the changes and the importance of identifying children who have outstanding immigration matters in order to take appropriate steps to address this before the child turns 18, as support for care leavers who have no status will be very limited.

The NRPF Network has created factsheets setting out the provisions for families and care leavers, which contain links to Home Office guidance.
