Emma Bennett elected as Chair of the ADCS Standards, Performance and Inspection Policy Committee

Emma Bennett, Executive Director of Families, City of Wolverhampton Council has been elected as the next chair of the ADCS Standards, Performance & Inspection Policy Committee. Emma will take over from Andy Smith, Executive Director of People, Derby City Council from 1 April as he steps into the role of ADCS Vice President.
House of Lords Oral Evidence Session: Review of the Children’s social care implementation strategy and family hubs rollout

Representatives from children’s charities, including Family Right’s Group and Action for Children, also provided evidence. .

Helen Lincoln, Executive Director for Children, Families & Education, Essex County Council has been elected as the next chair of the ADCS Families, Communities & Young People Policy Committee.Helen will take over from Sara Tough, Director of Children’s Services, Norfolk from 1 April. Harmesh Bhogal appointed as new Elected Director on the ADCS Board of Directors

Harmesh Bhogal, Chief Officer for Children’s Services, Bedford Borough Council has been appointed as the new Elected Director on the ADCS Board of Directors, his term of office starts on 1 April 2023.
Harmesh will be replacing Kathryn Boulton who has served two terms as Elected Director.

Andy Smith, Strategic Director of People Services, Derby City Council has been elected to the post of ADCS Vice President 2023/24. Andy’s term of office starts on 1 April 2023.
Andy will serve as Vice President for 12 months before assuming the ADCS Presidency on 1 April 2024.
