Published Covid-19 guidance and resources for children’s services

ADCS is attempting to keep track of published guidance and new announcements from key government departments and agencies, such as the DfE, PHE, Ofsted and HMCTS, relating to the totality of children’s services (see tab one of of the spreadsheet, below). We’re also tracking and sharing useful practice guidance and resources from sector bodies and organisations (tab two of the spreadsheet, below).

NEW: Contact and family time practice guidance

Essex County Council’s guide for staff in facilitating family time during the pandemic, see it here. The Essex CiCC have also made a short YoutTube video about their experiences of contact and family time during the pandemic, see it here.

The North West ADCS has recently agreed a set of principles for home visits and family time during lockdown and Tier 3 restrictions, see it here

Milton Keynes Council has pulled together a contract and explainers for parents and carers on how face-to-face contact will be maintained during lockdown. Children’s services worked with legal services, health and safety, public health, the NACC and Cafcass in the development of this process:

Walsall Council has shared a suite of information providing signposting to multilingual advice and a range of hygiene posters and leaflets in a number of languages. We are happy to add to this resource with materials developed in other languages. Find out more
