Principles for extended family care
Following on from the Independent review of children’s social care and the publication of Stable homes built on love, which set out the government’s commitment to ‘family first’ approaches and development of a new kinship care strategy and offer, a working group of ADCS members have pulled together a short paper setting out some high level principles for what we have defined as extended family care.
